Privacy Policy
1. Overview
ClipHarvest ("we", "us", "the Service") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information. We do not sell your personal data.
2. Information We Collect
Uploaded video files. When you use the Service, you upload a video file. This file is stored temporarily on our servers for the sole purpose of processing and returning the extracted highlights to you.
Email address (optional). If you provide an email address, we use it only to notify you when processing is complete. We do not add you to marketing lists or share your email with third parties.
IP address (hashed). We log a hashed (one-way) version of your IP address for abuse prevention and rate limiting. The hash cannot be reversed to your actual IP address.
Job metadata. We store basic job records including: job ID, processing status, video duration, output file location, mode selected, and timestamps. This is necessary to deliver results and handle support requests.
Payment information. If you purchase pay-per-use processing, payment is handled entirely by Stripe. We never see, store, or have access to your credit card number, CVV, or full card details. We receive only a Stripe session ID and payment confirmation status.
Server logs. Standard web server logs (request path, response code, timestamp) are retained for up to 30 days for debugging and security purposes.
3. How We Use Your Information
- Processing your video: The uploaded file is read and analyzed by our detection engine, then the output file is made available for download.
- Completion notifications: If you provided an email, we send one email when processing finishes. No follow-up marketing emails are sent.
- Abuse prevention: Hashed IPs and job metadata are used to enforce rate limits and detect fraudulent usage.
- Payment processing: Job metadata is associated with a Stripe payment session to confirm authorization before processing begins.
- Support: Job IDs and status information are used to respond to support requests.
4. Data Retention
- Video files (input): Deleted within 7 days of processing completion, or within 24 hours if the upload never completed.
- Output files (highlights): Deleted 7 days after processing completes. Download your file before this window expires.
- Job database records: Retained for up to 30 days, then purged. Records do not contain video content.
- Email addresses: Deleted along with the associated job record (within 30 days). Not stored independently.
- Server logs: Retained for up to 30 days.
5. Third-Party Services

We use only session-functional cookies necessary to maintain your upload and processing state within a single browser session. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or persistent cross-site identifiers. You may disable cookies in your browser; the Service may not function correctly without session cookies.
7. Your Rights
Depending on where you are located, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Right to access: Request information about what data we hold about you.
- Right to deletion: Request deletion of your data. Because video files are deleted within 7 days automatically, most data is self-deleting. For early deletion, email support@clipharvest.io with your job ID.
- Right to correction: If job metadata associated with your email is incorrect, you may request correction.
- Right to object: You may object to processing. Note that objecting to processing of uploaded video data means we cannot provide the Service.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@clipharvest.io. We will respond within 30 days.

The Service is not directed to children under 13 years of age (or 16 years in the European Union). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, contact us immediately and we will delete it.

If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information (including video files and metadata) will be transferred to and processed in the United States.
